Catrice
Simpson is a born and raised Washingtonian with and incredible
love of music. Catrice has an impressive Marketing background
that she has incorporated with her savvy business finance
experience. The powerful combination enables her to be the
key A&R executive of this new start up label, Nu-Phase
Records. |

Music has always
been an integral part of Catrice's life. She brings a fresh vision,
a vision of creativity and innovation to Nu-Phase Records. In addition
to her executive position her duties included Hiring, Operations,
Promotion, and Marketing.
Catrice also
maintains excellent relationships with major radio stations and
media buying groups. In her capacity as President of A&R, she
is responsible for seeking out the best talent, nurturing their
careers and ultimately making hit records for Nu-Phase Records.
She has helped develop various artists, and has maintained a mentor
relationship with other artists and bands as an A&R executive.
"An artist
or band needs to have a vision. They need to have an idea of who
they are, where they're going, and what they want, because that's
what we're buying into," Simpson says. "We're buying into
their whole package, who they are musically, intellectually, and
visually."
Catrice states
conclusively energy, chemistry, attitude, and good songs are the
key requirements. "If someone has star quality, it sticks out
like a sore thumb," Catrice says.

Tom
Herron comes to NuPhase Records with a diverse background
in sales, marketing, and promotions.

Tom
holds a B.S. Degree in Journalism from the University of
Maryland and worked as a newspaper reporter for five years.
He has
worked as a Sales & Marketing Consultant for the past
10 years, promoting consumer services in the Washington
D.C. Metropolitan Area. He continues to serve the public
as a freelance writer for a variety of publications.
