Comment: I have had an opportunity to visit the Java Head Cafe (off-campus from the University of Maryland)on several occasions to hear jazz, rock as well as the spoken word. The atmosphere, which is full of color and retro characteristics, makes for a wonderful place to grab a cup of coffee, bite to eat; all while enjoying wonderful sounds. It should be called "Diversity Cafe" given the various types of people (artists, professors, students, newspaper readers, etc)and entertainment that one experiences when at the cafe. A must!!

Comment: Every Friday Night they have Jazz Night at Westminster Presbyterian Church. It is one of the best kept Jazz secrets in DC. They have phenomenal performers and a great atmoshere, food and fun for only $5.00
