Comment: Piano bar early evenings and live Jazz duos, trios and quartets with great singers every night. The food is Italian and the Jazz is Great. Friday nights feature Local Jazz band, AJQ with vocalist Benetta Chisolm. 10pm to 2am. The musicians of AJQ comes on first with 90 minutes of Jazz Standards. They take a break and return with two sets featuring singing sesation, Benetta Chisolm. The night ends with everybody wanting more music from these fantastic musicians and singer.

Comment: HR 57 is one of Washington's great special best kept secrets. This club is really a non-profit organization for the preservation of jazz & blues. They have jazz jam sessions on Wednesday that feature some of Washington DC's best jazz artists new ones, prominent ones, old recognized ones, but always excellent ones! The HR 57 venue includes excellent seating arrangements, wonderful fried fish with delicious side vegetables served, there are chess game tables along with a comfortable lounge area where listening to jazz is just so e-a-s-y. HR 57 is also the name of the bill that was turned into law making "Jazz a National Treasure" and they sure do their name proud...

Comment: HR-57, The internet radio station of "The Center For The Preservation Of Jazz" that I'm currently listening to is creating mad interest in my brain for DeeCee's live music scene, I have just recently moved here from Dallas Tx. What an inspiring introduction to what is, and what is to be, on the live jazz scene, in the nations capital!Thank you DeeCee for turning me on to Livemusic4you.com.
