Comment: Spur of the Moment is a local band that plays a mix of jazz and your favorite R&B tunes. Backed by a loyal following, Spur packs the house offering some funk, smooth jazz and classic R&B. The band, which has released two CDs, also showcases its own original music, some of which can be heard on the airwaves. And when they're not making music locally, members of the band can be found playing for the likes of Will Downing, Maysa and Miki Howard. You can catch this wonderful band on Thursdays at the Meeting Place, a restaurant located in downtown D.C.

Comment: I have only known this band for a short period of time and they are fantastic. I have supported them way back at Midtown Cafe up to Takoma Station, and I will continue to do so with up coming events in the near future. I've heard several bands in the past but I can truely say that this band is on another level. They are not just your average R&B band, they bring Go-Go, Hip-Hop, Classical, Jazz, and Spoken Word. I feel that their unique style will put them on the road to success. "Keep up the good work!"
